Abbreviations in language files can sometimes be annoying if they are not intended for inside comments (capitalisation is a good example). Support for <buffer> is included.
This script allows you to create abbreviations that do not happen inside comments.
Synabbrev[!] [<buffer>] {lhs} {RHS}
